About This Tool

Advanced Image Color Picker is built for precise color sampling rather than broad palette extraction. Load an image and move across it to see the color and coordinates under your pointer. Click a pixel to lock that selection, inspect it through a pixel magnifier, and copy HEX, RGB, RGBA or HSL with one click. Recent picks stay in a compact history so you can move between several useful colors without writing them down. The image is decoded and sampled in your browser, making the tool useful for UI work, brand matching, illustration references, screenshots and everyday design tasks without sending the file to a server.

How to Use

  1. Choose an image or drag it into the upload area.
  2. Move your pointer across the image to inspect the live color and pixel coordinates.
  3. Click the exact pixel you want to keep as your selected color.
  4. Click HEX, RGB, RGBA or HSL to copy that value. A small Copied! message appears beside the action.
  5. Use the pixel magnifier for close inspection and the color history to revisit or copy earlier picks.

Example

Upload a screenshot of a website, move over the button color you want to match, and click that pixel. Copy the HEX value for CSS, or choose RGBA when you need the sampled alpha value. Pick a few more colors and they remain available in the history below.

Frequently Asked Questions

How precise is the color picker?

The tool reads the decoded canvas pixel at the pointer position. The displayed X and Y coordinates refer to the working canvas used for color sampling.

What color formats can I copy?

You can copy HEX, RGB, RGBA and HSL. Each value has its own click-to-copy row with immediate visual confirmation.

What is the pixel magnifier for?

It enlarges a small area around the current pixel without smoothing, making it easier to see which neighboring pixel you are sampling.

Why can a picked color look slightly different from the original file?

Browsers decode images before drawing them to Canvas, and color management, transparency or image encoding can affect the pixel values available to the browser.

Does the tool keep my picked colors?

Picked colors stay in the on-page history during the current session with the tool. Reset or Clear history removes them from the interface.

Is my image uploaded to ToolsFaction?

No. The image is loaded from your device and sampled locally in the browser.
