About This Tool
ToolsFaction Text Compare helps you spot differences between two versions of text without manually checking every line. Paste the original content on the left and the updated content on the right to generate a simple line-by-line diff showing additions and removals. Optional controls can ignore letter case and leading or trailing spaces.nnThe comparison runs directly in your browser and is useful for drafts, configuration snippets, lists, notes, code fragments and other text-based content.
How to Use
- Paste the original version into the Original Text field.
- Paste the second version into the Changed Text field.
- Choose whether to ignore letter case or edge spaces, then select Compare Text.
- Review the result: plus lines are additions, minus lines are removals and unprefixed lines are unchanged.
Example
Compare “Fast and simple” with “Fast, private and simple”. The result marks the original line as removed and the updated line as added, making the change easy to spot.
